Automate made-to-measure
Our aim was to meet the challenge of automating the digital design of orthodontic appliances (anatomical molar bands, circuit breakers and disocclusion splints). The manufacture of these custom-made appliances requires perfect adaptation to each patient’s anatomy, a time-consuming and complex process to implement in CAD.
A major technological innovation
We were able to develop an innovative hybrid approach, combining the robustness of geometric rules and the adaptive capabilities ofGenerative Artificial Intelligence.
This combination enabled us to achieve a reproduction rate of almost 97% on the test cases, a result very close to our deployment standards.
Concrete benefits for professionals
The advantages of this solution are twofold:
- Speed: orthotic design time is reduced from several minutes to just a few seconds.
- Precision: AI demonstrates superior adaptability for atypical anatomical cases, surpassing the limits of deterministic methods.
Future prospects
These results open up concrete operational prospects: some dental laboratories are already showing keen interest in integrating AI into their design tools.
